Investing in our communities
As an organisation with a strong social purpose, we care about the well-being of our customers. We offer direct services and collaborate with local charities and organisations to help our customers overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Future Kids Programme
We partnered with Future Kidz Youth Zone, a community youth club, to provide a series of fun and engaging activity sessions for young people. The programme aimed to keep them active and help them socialise with others in their area.
Twenty young people from Tower Hamlets, Hackney, and Newham participated, working with six youth practitioners. We funded the project with £2,500 and provided use of our community centre, valued at £600, for the sessions.
The Felix Project
We partnered with The Felix Project to deliver fresh food, vegetables, and frozen items to people in need during the festive season.
Fifty residents attended a pop-up event at our community centre, and over 200 residents received food deliveries directly to their homes. We distributed 1,300 kg of food valued at £5,300 and contributed over £5,000 in in-kind support.
Fuel Fund Assistance
In December 2023, we partnered with HACT to provide fuel fund assistance to customers struggling with energy bills. We offered up to six vouchers per household, each worth £49, to help eligible customers manage their payments. In just one month, 54 customers received vouchers, saving a total of £15,876 on their energy bills.
