The Toolkit

Getting the message out

Online platforms – can you get information onto your main website.

What social media channels do you have that could be used to promote the campaign and highlight that support is available? We’ve supplied some sample text to help you with that.

Non-digital options - consider what publications will be going out and how they could be used to support the campaign. The GM Ageing Hub advise that any campaign must include non-digital options, so what other printed material is going to be sent out and could that be used to support the campaign?

Case studies – the research highlights these as an effective way of encouraging people to claim. Can you create some case studies using success stories from your organisation? If not, can you create some case studies using staff testimonials? We have access to stock images if you don’t have your own.

As part of their wider campaign, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority are asking housing providers to help them with case studies. If you are able to help, please get in touch. Don’t forget about GDPR and make sure you have the relevant permissions to share.

Keeping Well This Winter – is a booklet produced by GMCA that will be distributed across the 10 GM boroughs. It contains a section on money matters which includes pension credits. Your organisation should already have made arrangements for a supply of the booklet. It can also be found online here.
